St. Leonard’s Church Farleigh Hungerford is a living and friendly place of worship within a charming English Perpendicular building consecrated in 1443. A Victorian curate of St.Leonard’s wrote the famous hymn ‘Rock of Ages’ and the church continues to provide comfort, spiritual refreshment and a warm welcome to its services and to visitors. The Church is a lovely peaceful place to visit and embodies the spirit and heritage of the Church of England both in its historic building, (Listed Grade2*) stained glass and ornaments and its ongoing Christian worship.
