St Lawrence, is in the beautiful Somerset village of Rode. The oldest part of the church dates from the mid to late 15th Century and there are many features of interest both inside and outside the church including a beautiful ring of six bells.
We have a loyal and multi-generational congregation who appreciate the wide variety of services offered - ranging from the more contemporary ‘Third Sunday Special’ to a more traditional communion service. We aim to be the friendly and spiritual heart of our community – indeed our church fundraising group is called ‘The Heart of Rode’ – with regular services and events for everyone.
We have various church services including traditional Holy Communion services but also offer more informal worship and Breakfast Church on a monthly basis and children are welcomed at all of our services with special activities provided for them.
